Sticky Solutions for the Classroom to the Boardroom
"I had no idea what was to come. I felt vulnerable taking this huge leap of faith. I wondered if I would fall flat or if I would soar." -- Heather Lambert
Overcoming Anxiety Sticky Solutions for the Classroom to the Boardroom tackles the struggle many experience with life-impacting anxiety. As a clinical therapist and experienced school counselor, author Heather Lambert has witnessed firsthand the debilitating impact of anxiety in the classroom, working with students who wondered, “What is wrong with me?” As a business developer and coach, she supports executive leaders who fear, “I will never be good enough!”
Heather often uses a sticky note in her private practice to remind clients of a new skill, thought, or goal. Clients report these sticky notes have been their tool to commit to the work of wellness and change. The purpose of this book is to help you discover your own sticky solutions so you can find hope for your journey. Heather's personal mission is that “no one should hurt alone.” She desires to help you heal, grow, and gain confidence in the work of wellness, whether in the classroom or boardroom. You can overcome anxiety!
Hope is the belief that something good may happen and the intent to make it so.
Heather Lambert, LPC CSC
In June 2017, Heather Lambert closed the door for the last time to her office as a public-school employee. That final click ended a 17-year career in education where Heather worked as a high school Spanish teacher, school counselor and administrator. Heather could no longer quiet the deafening cry of those impacted by disparities in mental health access in her communities. As an army of one, she believed she could make a difference. Four years later, Heather is the founder of 2 counseling centers with a team of 50 clinicians and support staff with 5 locations in the Greater-Houston area, serving 5 school districts with on-campus services, and over 14,000 students and families in 7 years.
Heather is driven by her personal belief that “No one should hurt alone.” The Clearhope Counseling practices exist to remove access barriers to high-quality mental health services. In January 2020 Heather was appointed to the 86th Texas Legislature Mental Health Task Force (HB 906) to study and evaluate mental health services that are funded by the state of Texas to support and improve mental wellness in public schools across the state.
Heather has been married for 30-years to Pastor Brian Lambert - They have 4 Children: Hannah, 27, Jacob, 21; Kelly, 21 (yes, they are twins), and Brooklyn (adopted in 2012) who is a Junior in High School
The Overcoming Series is a part of Heather’s mission to empower all who dare to believe in the power of HOPE!
